Dj Camea grandit à seattle, devient Dj, et vient vivre à New York en 2002. Au coeur de Brooklyn, elle crée le label Clink, avec son ami et producteur : Insideout aka Grant Aaron. Leur premier EP dark blend signé The Afternoon Coffee Boys (Tim Xavier & Tony Rohr) sort en novembre 2005 et devient n°12 sur les charts allemands de www.groove.de ! Leur Second EP Nothing Shocking avec les titres Nothing Shocking et Azimuth est signé Camea & Inside Out + un Tim Xavier remix.

Clink recordings is a new project stemming from the collaboration of minimal DJ/Producers Camea and Insideout. Their inspiration for this label rises from the independent artist community in Brooklyn, NY, and is based on the concept of linking technology, emotion and audio. The 1st release was a surprise debut hit by The Afternoon Coffee Boys (Tim Xavier and Tony Rohr), Dark Blend, which held rank on the infamous Grooves.de chart at ..12. Clink 002 is released on April : an excellent follow-up by Camea and Insideout. This release is titled the Nothing Shocking/Azimuth EP, and features one remix by the Afternoon Coffee Boys and a solo remix by Tim Xavier. Coming up in late May we have Camea's solo production debut with a three track floor burner, titled Wire Tap EP.

Water Lilly est Dj productrice depuis la fin des années 90. Depuis 2001, elle co-promotionne les Bronco Partys avec Crowpleaser, en France, Suisse, Allemagne et NYC avec pour guests : DJ Hell, Zombie Nation, DMX Krew, Khan, Codec & Flexor, Kiki, Sascha Funke.Elle héberge également sa propre émission radio sur internet (Basic.ch.). Elle produit de la techno en collaboration avec des artistes hip hop, St Plomb & Plastique de Reve de Gigolo records.

Water Lilly a notamment remixé Steril, Savas Pascalidis & Mr. Lovelace. Sa musique figure sur les CD mix de Tiga « DJ Kicks », Larry Tee « Electroclash » and compilations ( Lasergun compilation 2, Müller Records, Mental Groove).

Water Lilly has been a DJ since 1996 and a producer since 1999. After years of involvement within the party & DJ culture, she has played in Switzerland, France, Germany & NYC while co-promoting the Bronco parties since 2001 with DJ/producer Crowdpleaser (guests include DJ Hell, Zombie Nation, DMX Krew, Khan, Codec & Flexor, Kiki, Sascha Funke). DJ Water Lilly hosts her own Internet radio show on Basic.ch.

She produces techno music with a modern electro feel, in collaboration with Swiss artists among which hip hop & breaks DJ St Plomb and Gigolo recording artist Plastique de Reve. The gritty, funky, slamming tracks of Water Lilly leave a mark on the dancefloors they've been played at : they have a footstomping, energizing quality that many noted techno DJs are quick to realize, playlisting her records systematically.

Remixers of Water Lilly include Steril, Savas Pascalidis and Mr. Lovelace and her music can also be heard on mixes (Tiga's « DJ Kicks », Larry Tee's « Electroclash ») and compilations (Müller Records, Mental Groove).

TEKEL - 1st Album (Initial Cuts)

The french electro band TEKEL 1st album is out now ! Why TEKEL such a name ??? They love Heckel & Jeckel, and they love Techno, so...TEKEL is born.
They first appeared on Chloé compilation : I hate dancing, 2004. They were playlisted by Ivan Smagghe, Richie hawtin, and so many more. Their live : Rex Club, Elysée Montmartre, Tryptique, Pulp, Nouveau Casino, Batofar (Paris), WMF, Watergate, Deep (Berlin), CLICK (Hamburg), Mondo (Madrid), Fabric (London)...Their remixes ?Ffor such respected labels as Crosstown Rebels (UK), Set (France) and Boxer Recordings (Köln), and more recently Sender Records & Lasergun (Savas pascalidis label).

Pourquoi s'appellent-ils TEKEL ??? Parce qu'ils adorent Heckel et Jeckel ! Et ils ont rajouté la syllabe TEK comme Tekno ! Leur première formation plus pop s'appelait d'ailleurs Heckel.

Première fois sur une compile ? sur celle de Chloé : i hate dancing (human/Uwe) en 2004, pour le track : sac d'os.

Tekel remixé ? Seulement par des gens avec qu'ils ont bien accroché, sans doute bu du bon vin et rigolé de jeux de mots en vrac, comme Robag Wruhme sur le morceau Lipposuck (Robag Wruhme Remix)'.

Et eux ? Ils ont remixé qui exactement ?
Delon & Dalcan, Cosmo Vitelli, Play Paul...

C'est quand leur prochain Dj set ? mais non, ils ne mixent pas, c'est pas leur truc, eux ils font du live, et du live electro techno français, y'en a pas tant que ça. En plus, ils sont pas du genre à se planquer derrière leur taptop, mais plutôt à exploser la scène avec leur machines analogiques qui ne sont pas habituées à se nourrir de Ridvo.

TEKEL are Julien Briffaz & Loîc le Guillou !!! Il n'y a pas énormément de photos qui trainent sur le net, donc Julien et Loîc, c'est un peu les têtes de playmo robot sur la pochette.

Leur label : initialcuts.com, , à Créteil, Mais non à Paris ! créé rien que pour eux par des Djs prod. Depuis Initial Cuts a signé de très bons EP avec Duplex100 (duo franco-allemand avec Reynold le boss du label Trenton) et Siskid (qui assure également la gratte de blackstrobe live).

Au fait, TEKEL et Ark, c'est quoi le rapport ?

ricardo villalobos - salvador

Ricardo Villalobos a signé un nombre considérable de EP de grande qualité, sur des labels prestigieux tels que Cocoon, Playhouse et Perlon.

Son premier album Alcachofa sorti en 2003, puis Thé au harème d'archimède, sur Perlon en 2004, le propulsent sur le devant de la scène electro mondiale.



Le label techno Freesbee Tracks remasterise aujourd'hui 7 titres rares de Ricardo sous la compilation : Salvador, à l'ambiance plus techno et moins abstraite que ses dernières productions. Il y imprime des atmosphères latinitude, psyché 70s, jusqu'à la house west-coast. Villalobos utilise les règles du minimalisme, soit une architecture en escalade, et les agrémente de subtiles ruptures, devenues depuis une marque de fabrique reconnu par tous ses paires, comme Damien Lazarius de Crosstown Rebels. Il a remixé quantité de EP, Lopazz sur Get Physical Music, Alter Ego "Rocker" sur Klang, Dj HEll sur International Gigolos, ..., mais il signe également sur des petits labels récents comme Karmarouge (Gabriel Ananda).
En live, c'est surtout sa résidence Cocoon à l'Amnesia qui a fait de lui une Dj star au style chamanique.

Freesbee Tracks remasterised 7 Ricardo Villalobos tracks under the title : salvador. More techno than his abstract prog house after 2000.
Villalobos remixed Lopazz sur Get Physical Music, Alter Ego "Rocker" sur Klang, Dj HEll sur International Gigolos, ..., but also work with little new recordings company Karmarouge (Gabriel Ananda).
In live, it's his Cocoon / Amnesia that made him a cult star Dj, in a great chaman style.

Dan Ghenacia / Freak'N'Chic, invited by Rose & Ulysse and back to Le Batofar, a boat moored on the Seine River in the 13th arrondissement that Dan Ghenacia had definitely established his name with the after-partys Kwality . From industry people to parisian late night clubbers, les "Afters du Batofar" have become for the past three years the most unexpected underground night in the Camembert capital. Production wise, Dan released his first mix CD, a mix of the best tracks from San Francisco entitled Sun Frenchies Co. in 1999. He then been appointed by UK-French label Cyclo Records to mix "Revolving House" a special compilation for the label's two years anniversary. He's currently working with various producers including David Duriez, Phil Weeks or Plaisir de France. And with future releases scheduled on renowned parisian labels like (set) or Brique Rouge.

In 2004, he founded Freak'N'Chic records with David Duriez.

After Delon & Dalcan, Picture of now 2 is mixed by Oxia on french label Scandium Records (founded by Paul Nazca). On this mix CD, his new Ep "Jack in Me" under his real name : Olivier Raymond, with the swiss Dj resident of the Loft, Eric Borgo, on Tsuba Records, founded in 2005 by Kevin Griffiths - and the danish Trentemoller (who prepares his first album), Fairmont aka Jake Fairley from Border Community, one remix from Chardronnet (member of new label from Frankfurt : Connaisseur recordings), from M.A.N.D.Y (get Physical), Kiki from Bpitch..., and one track from The Hacker himself, feat. The Mount Sims.
Oxia is known for his funky-techno-house sound & great part of the 2nd electro techno wave in France.

Après Delon & Dalcan, le grenoblois Oxia remixe Picture of Now 2, sur le label français fondé par Paul Nazca, Scandium.
